Things are back in full swing around here, with Rob back in school. Something cool that happened to Rob was that he was invited to a ceremony at school for students who have done well in their classes. He is very blessed in this way! The Lord is watching out for him and for our family in helping him do so well in order for him to accomplish his future goals. I am very proud of my husband and thankful for the daily blessings that we recieve in dental school :)
Speaking of blessings, a family in our ward is giving us their old full size bed! So Blake will have that bed.
Let's see, what else...It has been freezing! I can never complain about 30 degree weather again. :-) Monday all the schools were cancelled due to an ice storm that came through Sunday night. The low for Monday was -2 and the high was a whopping 1 degree, with wind chills at -17 degrees. Brrr...it hurts when it's that cold! A friend was complaining that it was colder in Kentucky than in Alaska that day! But like I said, temperature is so relative because today it is up in the 30's and it feels great! ;)
A cute story from last night- I was in Blake's room putting him to bed and I wanted to show Blake the moon (he loves the moon). So we turned off the lights and pulled up the blinds and he had a clear view of the moon. He was so excited and doing that shaking thing of his. I asked him if he wanted to show Daddy. He ran out of the room and went and pulled Daddy into his room so that he could show him the moon. He is such a sweet little boy.
Another quick story- I was making something in the kitchen when I noticed a tiny bit of water from the sink had gotten onto the counter and was dripping onto the floor. I needed to finish what I was doing, and then I was going to grab a towel from the pantry. Well Blake came in the kitchen, saw the small water drops on the floor and ran over to the towels in the pantry. He couldn't reach, so I pulled one down for him and he ran right back over to the puddle to wipe it up. He's done that several times now, where he will see a little spill and need to wipe it up. It's so funny to watch him "be clean." It makes a momma proud ;)
Yesterday was his 18 month appointment!
