Wonderful Sunday
It has been a beautiful Sunday. We had ward conference and listened to some wonderful speakers. I love the gospel and I am so grateful to have it in my life. Nothing can bring more happiness than living the gospel and learning to trust in Heavenly Father. I love the Lord. I am so grateful for Him. I am also thankful for the gift of the Holy Ghost, prayer, a living Prophet and for the scriptures. I am happy to be in the new ward that I am in. I already love the people in my ward. Today we sat in front of Robert and Tamara Nixon. They lived in Bryan College Station for four years in the early 90's but they didn't know Grandma and Grandpa Petersen... They were so friendly and kind to us.
The rest of the weekend has been fun. On Friday night we had dinner with Jenn and Jordan Singer, fellow first-year dental students, and then all of the dental/medical students in our apt. complex played volleyball together. There were probably 50 people there. It was mostly the guys playing and the wives sitting around (with their babies) talking and having fun together. We are so happy to live near these people.
Then on Saturday Rob and I spent the day at our hospital participating in the "marathon class." It was a class that lasted all day that combined all of the hospitals birthing classes. It was very helpful and informative and now we feel all ready to go ;). We got a tour and they explained exactly what will happen when we come to the hospital in labor. The l&d and mother/baby rooms are really nice :) After the class we went to Brynn and Danny Snyder's apt and played games. We played a really fun game that is like backwards charades where the team acts out something and only one teammate guesses. It was hilarious. I couldn't get a good picture because everyone was moving so much...

We're back!!!
I am getting a new camera from Costco since mine has sadly died :( Once I have that I will post a lot more pictures!
I know that I've missed several important celebrations over the last couple of months but since it is so recent I want to wish my Dad, Rob's Dad, AND Rob a Happy Father's Day!
Rob will be such an amazing Dad and I love him with all of my heart.
And my Dad is the most wonderful Dad a person could hope to have! I love my Dad more than words can express. He exemplifies everything a good father/person is. He is someone who loves the Lord first and foremost and that has always been a great blessing in my life.
Rob's Dad is the same way and I love him too!
Here are a few pictures of our new apartment taken from Rob's camera (which we expect will soon be giving up the ghost as well). I was bummed because we had more pictures but when Rob had to reformat the camera, we had to delete all of the pictures we originally had. So I quickly ran through the house snapping these shots just so I could put SOMETHING up on here :) I made sure to include a few features of the apartment that I am especially thankful for.
Dining Room/Kitchen
Living Room (not a lot of furniture.)
Front Entrance...Rob is awesome and one day when I was out doing errands he hung up all our pictures. He did a great job!
Hallway to Baby's room
Living room again
Rob sleeping in after a long day :)
We went over to a friends house and they had these yummy peaches from costco with angel food cake and whip cream. The peaches were so good I went and bought some of our own. Rob loves them too.
Rob introduced me to pomegranate. We split one of these for dessert the other night.
Now for the features that none of my other apartments have ever had that I especially love... First, an Ice maker. Ice makers are awesome.
2nd...a ceiling fan in the living room!
Lights over the kitchen table. In the mortuary we didn't have this and I always felt like we were eating in the dark.
I saved best for last...A DISHWASHER! I love our dishwasher :)
37 weeks!
