Saturday

We had a great day on Saturday. First off, I finally registered at Target. Then I drove up to Draper for my friend, Erica's, baby shower. I hurried home and we had the primary pizza party that our kids earned. Then to end the day with a boom we went to see the Hunger Games with Emma and Kyle. Here are some pictures...

While we were waiting in line Rob and Kyle started playing on Kyle's phone. We will miss Emma and Kyle when they move to Alaska and we move to Kentucky.

Today has been a good day. I got in a cleaning mode and pulled out the oven and refrigerator to clean underneath them. I am tired but am trying to stay up to watch the new episode of Psych with Rob. I've started packing things up around the house and I came across old journals. I love reading old journals. :) Blogs are great because you can add pictures too. Anyway, I hope everyone else is doing well. I love my family and for all the great people I know!

Kicks and Heartburn

Well thanks to my good ol' Dad for reminding me that I haven't posted a picture in awhile. I will make sure to put one up :)

Things have been going great around here. Our little baby is growing lots and I can consistently feel him kicking and moving around during the day. I love it! The other day he kicked Rob really hard and it was so exciting.

I also had my first experience with heartburn last night...but it wasn't it a big deal. I just took a couple of tums and it was gone. Haha I hope it's always that easy...

School has been going well. Just a few more weeks. Hurray! Rob went to the doctor this morning and got all of his immunization up to date for dental school, so all that stuff is underway. This is something Rob is really great at! Once he puts something on his checklist he just gets it done.

Another update is that our replacements have been hired! My friend from San Antonio, Brielle, and her husband will be living in the Mortuary after us. I'm sure they will have fun adventures here too. I was joking with Carl the other day about how he is getting two San Antonio girls in a row, and he laughed. He says he guesses he has to like Texas now.

Anyway, here is a picture. On Thursday I will be 24 weeks.

News from Louisville!

So lately we have been having fun getting info from Louisville. They have a facebook page that dental school students and incoming students write on and ask questions, etc. It's been really helpful!

Then today I found out there was a dental school wives' facebook page. The ladies are all so fun and nice! They post things like "Going to the Zoo at 10AM. Meet us at the front doors if you want to come!" I am 100% sure that most of the ladies on there are LDS becuase of many LDS references and things (and the fact that most non-LDS people are not married by now) but all the wives can join, which I think is great because it is a way to befriend non-LDS ladies who do not have a ward/relief society support system/friends.

This is something one lady posted:

Louisville Dental School Wives Group-
We host activities so that we can get to know each other better and have a support system while our husbands are gone studying.

We plan on having a few activities a year:

1. Welcome BBQ (July)- For the entire family.
2. Opening Social (Sept)-Just for the women.
3. Weekly Girls Night (tuesdays or wednesday) for the months of Sept, Oct, and Nov.
4. Participating in the Dental School Beat the Pumpkin Run (Oct).
5. Christmas Party (Dec)
6. 2 semester Opening Social (Jan)
7. Valentines Party (Feb)
8. Dental School Wives Group Cook Book (March) and Coordinating Monthly Recipe Swap Girls Nights.
9. Closing Social (Good Bye party for those leaving that year) (end of April)

You are welcome to plan and do any other activities that you would like, but we decided we thought these activities would help us get to know each other, no matter what stage of life you are in (at home, working, etc.) and no matter where you live in Louisville.

If you would like to help plan any of these activities please let Brynn Snyder, Lauren Hicks, Melissa Hall or Kim W. know.

We look forward to getting to know all the Dental School Wives!

Anyway, I am really excited and know that we will love our time in Louisville. It will be such a great experience for us.

This is another newsletter they emailed to Rob today:
