Camping and more fun

Blake in the tent!

Rob had fun feeling manly out in the "wilderness" :)
He had fun with that hatchet of his!

Blake has taken a liking to coloring.

We had a great morning with some ward friends and went to a farm that has a little hiking trail.  Being a farm, it also had a chicken coop that enthralled the kids!

At the end of the trail was a lake.

Sorry about the blur! Our camera doesn't do well with outside pictures.

We were out at a volleyball night at the park and I look over to find Blake like this. He put the helmet on by himself and was ready to go! We think for Blake's birthday we may buy him a "strider" bike. They are supposed to help kids establish balance so that transferring to a two wheal bike is really easy.

Blake's other "phase" is putting on other people shoes.

Daddy buried his feet!

Getting out!

"More, more!"

Blake's pal, George

Blake decided he wanted to wear his swimsuit that morning :)

March 18, 2014

We went to Rob's dental school and had some fun looking at his station!

Blake likes playing with bias trains and cars.

He loves putting this helmet on and clicking the strap closed.

We loved having Elena here!

Beautiful weather!!!

This week we have are up in the 50's!!! The sunshine is so welcome here!

Blake's favorite book nowadays is Goldilocks and the Three Bears. His favorite part is saying "Uh oh!" when Goldilocks breaks baby bears chair. It is so funny. He wants to read it over and over...and over again just so that he can ay "Uh oh!" at that part. Blake would not let Rob put the book down the other night!

Getting big!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! We love you!!!

Blake playing one of his favorite games on the iPad. He feeds food to different animals.

Haha- I looked over and he was getting all the crumbs out of the popcorn bag!

Our routine is reading books before bedtime. He loves to read books with us.

He was having fun coloring and found the stamp pad...so there were lot's of little red finger dots all over  :)

Blake loves finding other people's shoes and putting them on. We happened to be babysitting two little girls, but the pink didn't stop him ;)

He is so sweet with this Christ statue. He was being very soft.

Playing around with a headband :)

My beautiful flowers from my sweetheart!! The balloon was 25% for me, 75% for Blake!
Blake playing with his "people." He was setting them up, then knocking them all of the table:

Rob wears this hat to school when it is freezing out and Blake loves to steal it from him:

He was playing with this little music keyboard and grooving to some music...then he wanted the camera:

January 21, 2014

Woohoo! Today Rob's school was canceled on account of a huge snow storm! We are happy to have him home today.

I also have a video to put up, but I have to relearn how to use iMovie to compress it for the blog :)

January 19, 2014

It was a great Sunday and a great week. Today we tried a different method with our driving situation on Sundays. Instead of Rob leaving early for Sunday meetings and then coming back to pick Blake and I up 10 minutes before church starts, we drove Rob up this morning. That way we could leave at a decent time to arrive at church on time. Even with the extra trip it was for Blake, we like this way a lot better. :-)

On Fridays we try to go swimming with Blake for a fun family activity, and this week Blake was especially happy to be at the pool! He loves the balls at the pool and throwing them to us. It is a bummer that we are not allowed to take him down the slide! He would really love that! In a few years...

Pregnancy is going well. I am in the really fun stage! 23 weeks. Lots of love taps and wiggling from our little guy. :-)

I will put a few pictures up here tomorrow when I can use the computer for a little bit!

January 8, 2014

I've missed blogging and having a nice place to document pictures and updates. So my goal is once a week!

Things are back in full swing around here, with Rob back in school. Something cool that happened to Rob was that he was invited to a ceremony at school for students who have done well in their classes.   He is very blessed in this way! The Lord is watching out for him and for our family in helping him do so well in order for him to accomplish his future goals. I am very proud of my husband and thankful for the daily blessings that we recieve in dental school :)

Speaking of blessings, a family in our ward is giving us their old full size bed! So Blake will have that bed.

Let's see, what else...It has been freezing! I can never complain about 30 degree weather again. :-) Monday all the schools were cancelled due to an ice storm that came through Sunday night. The low for Monday was -2 and the high was a whopping 1 degree, with wind chills at -17 degrees. Brrr...it hurts when it's that cold! A friend was complaining that it was colder in Kentucky than in Alaska that day! But like I said, temperature is so relative because today it is up in the 30's and it feels great! ;)

A cute story from last night- I was in Blake's room putting him to bed and I wanted to show Blake the moon (he loves the moon). So we turned off the lights and pulled up the blinds and he had a clear view of the moon. He was so excited and doing that shaking thing of his. I asked him if he wanted to show Daddy. He ran out of the room and went and pulled Daddy into his room so that he could show him the moon. He is such a sweet little boy.

Another quick story- I was making something in the kitchen when I noticed a tiny bit of water from the sink had gotten onto the counter and was dripping onto the floor. I needed to finish what I was doing, and then I was going to grab a towel from the pantry. Well Blake came in the kitchen, saw the small water drops on the floor and ran over to the towels in the pantry. He couldn't reach, so I pulled one down for him and he ran right back over to the puddle to wipe it up. He's done that several times now, where he will see a little spill and need to wipe it up. It's so funny to watch him "be clean." It makes a momma proud ;)

Yesterday was his 18 month appointment!

Length- 33.5 inches/ 85th%

Weight- 25 lbs. 7 oz./ 45th%

Head- 50.5cm/ 100th%

Pretty much exactly how it's always been!

Launching his cannon

Play time with daddy

I was folding laundry and he grabbed one of my socks and one of daddy's socks and wanted to wear them both.
