Blake's New Developments

Blake is learning so much! It's so cool to see him actually understanding things we tell him. Nowadays Blake will just walk around the house like such a big boy. He is totally comfortable in our house and knows where things are and has his favorite little spots. Rob taught him how to give high fives and last week he learned how to blow on his hot food (just in time to blow out his birthday candles...with the help of Eli and Conner)! It is too cute. He is also so cute watching dance to music. Blake is getting more difficult to go shopping with, now that he can walk. He loves just walking up and down the aisles and at least trying to clear things off their shelves J. But I usually catch him.  He has started to love scrambled eggs, so we’ve been having those more often. He also loves going outside. He will wait by the front door and say "eh! eh!" He knows how to speak up and let us know when he wants something…so we have started teaching please and thank you! This boy will have his manners down if it’s the last thing I do! He said please three times this week! Here are some of the other things he can do now:
- He can play peek-a-boo! He'll put his hands in front of his eyes and move them away fast when you say boo.
- If you ask him where your eyes are, he can point to them.
- I taught him how to say "Stop!" so when Daddy is tickling him he can tell him to stop. :) He puts his palm out and says "top!"
- Yesterday I was reading an animal book to him and there was a page with a dog, cat, bunny, and bird. I asked him where the kitty cat was and he pointed right to it.

Blake was laughing so hard here and I was really happy to actually get a good picture of him mid-laugh!

This was from ONE dental convention Rob had. Haha- I don't think we'll ever need to buy toothpaste or toothbrushes again!
